The best way to sleep is to have a cup of milk at night, not do anything stressful or hear anything stressful or read anything stressful or have sex.Just relax all muscles in progressive relaxation mode, surrender the day to Jesus, keep feet warm in winter, cool in summer, have a nice hard bed and not soft foam beds which actually harm the spine in the long-run and give backaches and disturb the quality of sleep, count sheep or word backwards, shag a bit to relax the penis and finally have a whore in bed, it keeps you warm(dont forget the condom!)
Peace!

Great tips. Thanks. I would also liek to add that I sleep with my mumoocie every night. It is soft and cozy and has a torso shape. It makes me feel more secure.

Your list is helpful, however I don't like to keep my socks on. When I want to sleep I just lie comfortably and think of anything and before I know it, it is already morning time.

I find that wearing the socks really works in winter, however I do just the opposite when it's hot. I set a fan so it points directly at my feet. I keep cool all night long. This, I think is not for all, but it works for me. As for falling asleep, I've always been pretty good at that (my wife is staring daggers at me as I type this!)- We've found that the environment helps. No TV in our bedroom, and no clutter. No laptops or reading allowed. Just a very comfortable king-size. Very spare (and difficult to keep that way) but it works for me.

I would add the following to the list: booze, wine, and in a pinch, cough syrup. Substitute sex for working out. Eliminates the drive to the gym and when you're done, you're already in bed.

I wear socks every night. And a wrist brace. And no pillow. I sleep better during the night, and wake up with less pain in the morning (old neck injury).

If I go right to bed and try to close my eyes, I'll have a horrible time trying to get to sleep. Now I just turn on my reading light, stare at the wall and *think*. But rather than dwelling on things, I try to let my thoughts just process and dissipate. Sometimes I have to write in my Moleskine journal first to get things out of my head. Before I know it, my eyes get heavy, I turn off my lamp, and I'm out in a few minutes!
