Remember that little coin pocket in your jeans that you never use? Turns out, it’s the perfect size for your iPhone.
The mini pocket keeps your Precious close to you while protecting it from scratchy keys and objects in your main pocket. No need for a stupid holster or bulky case.
I’ve tested jeans from Gap, G-Star, Levi’s, and H&M. All fit the 3G iPhone perfectly, though some pockets were deeper than others.
Other brands might not fit. So before buying your next pair of jeans, check and make sure it supports your iPhone. I can imagine the “Approved for iPhone” stickers at Urban Outfitters already.

If it sticks out like it does in the picture then you might as well wear a T-shirt with an arrow pointing to it and a “Please Steal This” logo.

Be careful, depending on the depth (and tightness I suppose) this could lead to the phone slipping out unintentionally while seated!
But good call, I never would have thought it would fit, but it seems to!

Ed, I lifted up the t-shirt for the photo. Most t-shirts are long enough to cover up the pocket when you’re wearing them, so it’s pretty discreet.
Also it fits pretty snug and close to you, so someone who wants to steal it will have to get very intimate with you to pull it out. ;-)

Worls like a charm with the 2G too. (Just tested nudie jeans, they work)

Having my cellphone fit into jeans like that, has actually been one of the major requirements for a while. I’ve been kind of hesitant about getting an iPhone, as I haven’t realized that those pockets came in large enough sizes. I guess it’s finally time to update my phone… and my wardrobe.

Is the risk of getting your iPhone stolen as big as some of the eralier commenters describes it? Here in sweden you could leave your iPhone on the counter in a store and get back an hour later and it would still be there.

Most of your red blood cells are created near there, probably not the best place to carry your cell phone.

Bcomma, hmmm not sure about that one. From what I know, red blood cells are created by bone marrow in the bones, not the skin. Since we bones through out our bodies, then by your premise, we shouldn’t be wearing the iPhone anywhere close to our bodies.

@Chanpory Rith you’re correct, i was referring to the femur. I never carry my phone in my hip pockets or near my heart.

I use my cargo pockets for the iphone. Slides in perfectly. If you are a Minos Flip recorder user you can stack your most outer pocket with the minos, second pocket iphone, and you are rocking the portability w/o any overhead.

Cool!! But it brings forth the risk of theft.

Pocket isn’t for coins. It’s left over from pocket watch days.

That’s just ASKING for it to be stolen. :)

I use that pocket for my iPod Nano actually. Slips in effortlessly and stays concealed. I’m a student and in my part of the world I have to wear a uniform which also has such a pocket, and the Nano sits in there during classes. No one can see that it’s there.
Wonder whether there is anywhere where I can get clothes with a “Made for iPod” label :)
But the iPhone looks a bit squeezed in the pocket if you ask me.

Is the screen safe from scratches there? Seems like you are showing off and not being CLEVER

While that looks quite comfortable, I think if you move around a lot during the day, it can be a drag. I purchased a belt clip thing that holds my iphone. It can seem annoying, b/c each time someone calls, you have to take out the phone, however, it is very versatile, able to clip onto almost any outfit I may wear.

May be it’s convenient for someone to keep an iPhone in the pocket. But there is a danger of it being stolen that’s why I prefer to keep it in my bag.

Urban Outfitters is owned by a major Republican contributor…Please by your jeans elsewhere…perhaps a locally owned independent store

Look out for those SAR (radiation) levels next to your body. :|

Those pockets were designed to hold a packet of cigarettes. And the i-phone is designed around the same dimensions playing on the ‘addicted to phoning…’ metaphor.
apparently.

“Coin” pocket? I thought that was a “caffeine pill” pocket. Hmm.
