Check out this 1956 TV interview of Charles Eames, featuring the debut of the classic Eames Lounge Chair:
Half a century later, it’s still amazing.
I especially love the video of the chair’s assembly, and of course, the special appearance by Ray Eames at the end.
Thanks to Hugh for sending this my way.

I loved this. Have watched as many videos of the Eames as I have been able to find, and this is a new one for me.
My mother has two of these chairs, and they are the most comfortable chairs for reading or watching TV that I have ever tried.

It’s a fun watch, and interesting to think about the history of things outside of your awareness.
BTW, the embedded link in your blog isn’t working, but for now, this hard link does:

I am a former Herman Miller employee and had the good fortune to be able to purchase two of these chairs (50 year anniversary limited edition) prior to leaving the company. I enjoy them every day.
