I am a big fan of eating lunch later, for two reasons.

Most people eat lunch at 12, so if I go at 1 it tends to be quieter and I can do something productive instead of chatting; today I made very good progress through the book for my book group next week. Of course it is good to talk to people in a less formal environment, but I don't need to do it every day.

I am normally in work an hour earlier than most people, so I can leave an hour earlier. By having my lunch hour an hour later I know that the bulk of the day is complete by the time I return to my desk.
